Reggio Calabria, the
entire city can be considered an archeological zone. Among the finds: traces of
Neolithic settlement (near the Calopinace river); Greek walls, ancient temples,
remains (Vl century B.C. in Via Torrione); temple of Diana Fascelide, remains of the
stylobates of the imposing holy building of the Greek Age of the Classical Period (V
century B.C.); remains of another Greek temple (V century B.C., in Vicolo
Griso-Laboccetta); Hellenistic theatre, remains of complex (IV-III centuries B.C. in Via
Torrione); Latin baths, Province ancient necropoli (remains). Rosarno, ancient remains in a vast area between the Petrace and Messiron rivers.
